Käpsele
The Käpsele Innovation Festival takes place at Messe Freiburg and BadenCampus organizes a startup pitch in a suitable atmosphere
The Käpsele 2026 is coming. Experience innovative technology, meet people who really want to make a difference. We bring thought leaders, founders, companies and the curious together to create a sustainable future!

One day. Five stages. Over 1500 people who make things happen.
On July 16, one of Germany's most relevant innovation festivals is back: and this year it will be bigger than ever. The future needs fuel.

For the third time, entrepreneurs from SMEs and start-ups will meet in the Sick Arena at Messe Freiburg for networking and inspiration. Once again this year, controversial perspectives and relevant topics will be discussed: from AI to quantum technology, from MedTech and GreenTech to robotics - supplemented by highly topical issues relating to defense and digital sovereignty.

As always, the Käpsele Innovation Festival stands for the practical relevance of its questions. Discussions will take place on panels with top-class speakers such as:

  • Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy and Daimler Truck
  • Aya Jaff, author of "Broligarchy. The power games of the tech elite and how they
    prevents progress" (2025)
  • Robin Rombach, CEO of Black Forest Labs - Europe's AI hope from Baden-Württemberg

+90 speakers | +40 panels | +25 masterclasses | +20 experience stations | 4,000 m2 of networking space | 1,500 Käpsele visitors

Don't just talk, do it!
Presented by the Haufe Group and organized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Southern Upper Rhine and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe, the Käpsele Innovation Festival is the place for encounters, exchange, networking and friction, where start-ups meet SMEs, tradition meets thought leaders, and doers meet allies. In 2026, the Käpsele expands its view to Europe. The tri-national region of Germany, France (Alsace) and Switzerland is moving closer together.
