BUSINESS TESTING FOR CELL-CULTURED MILK

Testing business ideas

Acceptance of cell-cultured milk

Background

Senara is an innovative startup specializing in the sustainable and animal-friendly extraction of ingredients from fresh milk. By selecting the best lactating cells from the milk of healthy cows, Senara enables efficient cultivation and large-scale production that is economically viable. The company relies on energy-efficient bioreactors that consume fewer resources, produce less waste and enable environmentally friendly recycling of cartridges. The result is cleaner, healthier and more sustainable milk production - an approach that combines animal welfare, environmental awareness and innovation. To further develop the business idea, Senara wants to gain a better understanding of the acceptance of animal-friendly milk among private customers.

The solution

EDIH Südwest partner BadenCampus supported Senara in the creation of an optimized questionnaire and the implementation of the survey as part of a start-up coaching session. In order to gain a better understanding of the acceptance of animal-friendly milk, the Senara team first developed its own hypotheses and then used these to develop targeted questions for a survey with private customers.

In BadenCampus' Customer Insight Lab, these questions were evaluated and optimized by customer data experts to ensure meaningful and usable results. BadenCampus then created the digital questionnaire and carried out targeted participant acquisition: On the one hand via the BadenCampus TestCommunity with private customers, on the other hand via the social media channels of
BadenCampus social media channels in order to reach a broad target group.

We have achieved this together:

Successful data collection and evaluation

This collaboration enabled us to conduct a comprehensive survey with 197 participants. This provided valuable insights into the attitudes of private customers towards taste, animal welfare, environmental impact and sustainable nutrition in connection with dairy products.

Targeted approach of interested parties

In addition to analyzing the survey data, two separate lists were created - for new newsletter subscribers and potential test subjects for the cell-cultured Senara milk. This allowed interest in innovative milk alternatives to be converted directly into concrete contacts.

Professional preparation of the results

The BadenCampus team created two presentations (German and English) to enable Senara to effectively communicate the findings and further stimulate discussions on sustainable milk production.
