Development of a future innovation hub
The climatic health resort of Schönau in the Black Forest is located in the Upper Wiesental valley, surrounded by the elevations of the southern Black Forest at an altitude of 500 to 1300 meters. The towns of Schönau and Todtnau recorded around 20,000 overnight stays in 2022. In order to strengthen the rural area and support innovation in the Upper Wiesental even more, the two towns are cooperating with the experts from BadenCampus and CoWorkLand for the future development of a corresponding project. The focus is not only on establishing an attractive co-working space as a physical location, but also on reviving an innovation platform that is organized around a vibrant business community and networked with other locations.
Recommendation of structures and formats
During the course of the project, the BadenCampus will examine the needs of the participating companies and municipalities with regard to relevant innovation topics. To this end, a concept will be developed that takes into account the specific requirements of the location, but also provides for openness to other locations in the Black Forest and the Southern Upper Rhine. The aim is to benefit from supra-regional networking and, for example, strengthen access to universities and talent. Various innovation formats together with those involved can serve as the "heartbeat" of the community and are now to be put into practice.
